Formed in November of 2,000, the Oblong Trail Association encourages nature walks, cross-country skiing, and equestrian trail riding in a natural environment. The Association’s trails are made up of public roads and sanctuary lands with marked trails that guide riders around and through the various properties. In order to preserve the natural landscape, motor vehicles are not allowed on the trails.
The Oblong Trail Association is a non-profit organization with a member’s only trail system that requires an annual membership fee and is owned by its parent company, the Oblong Land Conservancy. The Oblong Trail Association operates as a separate entity from the conservancy, and is funded completely by donations and membership fees.
